New Delhi: The police has solved the murder case of an elderly couple in Delhi’s Gokulpuri area within a few hours. The real culprit of the murder turned out to be the same daughter-in-law of the deceased couple who was in worst condition after the murder. Police investigation revealed that along with daughter-in-law Monica, one of her lovers was also involved in the incident. Along with this, the police also revealed that during the Corona period, when the whole world was trying to create social distance. The accused daughter-in-law was increasing closeness with the young man who was involved in the incident on Facebook. Her aim was also to kill her husband further. Both the accused had a plan to settle in Dwarka by selling property worth about 1.5 crores.
DCP Joy Tirkey told that this was revealed in the interrogation of Monica. She was unhappy with her married life for a long time. She had an extra-marital affair with Ashish, who lives in Ghaziabad. Her husband Ravi and mother-in-law came to know about this affair. Because of which there used to be frequent quarrels between the two. Father-in-law Radheshyam and mother-in-law Veena used to scold Monika on small things. Mother-in-law Veena was keeping a close watch on daughter-in-law. In such a situation, Monica felt suffocated inside the house. Monika Singh has done her graduation from Delhi University. She had worked in a call center in Noida. She got married to Ravi in 2016. Ravi completed his graduation from Open University before pursuing B.Ed from a private university. He was running a general store near Johripur. Prior to this he has worked as a guest teacher in a government school. They have a five year old son. After marriage, Monica left the job and settled in the household.
Monica was very active on social media during the Corona period
She became very active on social media during the Corona period. He had made a large number of friends on Facebook. In August 2020, she met a young man named Ashish on Facebook and the two soon became intimate. In February 2021, both decided to meet. Both of them spent the whole day in a hotel, after which this series went on in such a way that no one stopped.
Husband had seen objectionable messages on WhatsApp
Ravi came to know about their love affair when one day he read some objectionable messages on Monika’s WhatsApp. He took Monika’s smart phone and gave her a simple feature phone. Ashish took Monika to his Ghaziabad house several times and also introduced her to his mother and brother as his girlfriend. Ashish and Monica started dreaming of marriage.
Five lakhs advance was received on selling some part of the property
Nowadays Radhe Shyam and Ravi were planning to sell their Gokalpuri property to buy a house in Dwarka. He could not find any buyer worth Rs 1.5 crore, so he decided to sell the property in different parts. In February, the rear part of the house was sold to a builder, in return for which Rs 5 lakh was received in advance. Out of this amount, Monika and Ashish had looted four and a half lakh rupees.
After mother-in-law and father-in-law, there was a plan to remove husband from the way
Monica plans to kill her parents-in-law and then her husband. Monica wanted to settle in Dwarka after getting all three out of the way. Ashish and Monica had a phone conversation two days before the murder. He called her at Gokulpuri on the evening of 9th April. After dark, Ashish reached home with his friend. There was no one at home at that time. They hid on the roof. At around 1.15 pm, both together killed the elderly couple. Ashish left the house at around 2.15 am. Before and after this incident, Ashish was in constant contact with Monica over the phone. Now the police is looking for Ashish and his friend in this case.
