Education Minister Atishi on Tuesday dedicated the Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence built at Rana Pratap Bagh in Model Town assembly to the people of Delhi. On the occasion of school inauguration, Education Minister Atishi said that this School of Specialized Excellence of Rana Pratap Bagh is one of the best schools in Delhi. The facilities available in it, the infrastructure is excellent, which will ensure world class education even for the children coming from the poorest of the poor.
On this occasion, along with Education Minister Atishi, local MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and high officials of the Education Department were present. The Education Minister unveiled the plaque and took stock of the new classroom and biology and staff room built on the first floor. After that, took stock of the magnificent library and multi-purpose hall built on the third floor. The Education Minister said that no private school in this area would be as good as this government school has become.
Regional MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi said that this magnificent school was once in a very pathetic condition. When the then Education Minister Manish Sisodia came with me to visit this school for the first time. Then this school was the most dilapidated school in the area. He had said that very soon a day would come when children would be proud to study in this school. Due to the hard work of Manish, that opportunity has come today. I am deeply missing Manish at the inauguration.

This School of Specialized Excellence built in Rana Pratap Bagh will be a specialized school of Humanities domain. The capacity of the school is 400 students. The school has excellent classrooms, labs, libraries, multipurpose halls and other modern facilities.
Delhi will soon have 46 excellence schools
The Delhi government plans to dedicate 46 Dr BR Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence in 37 buildings in 2023-24. Where about 10 thousand students will be able to enroll. For the academic session 2023-24, the Delhi government has received applications from 92 thousand students for about 4400 seats in SOSE.
