New Delhi: A bulldozer has been fired at an illegal religious structure in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area on Saturday. Continuous action is being taken by PWD on illegal constructions in Delhi. During this, heavy police force and paramilitary personnel were deployed in view of the security to deal with the protest or ruckus. The PWD team took action on illegal construction near Mathura Road Opposite Masjid in Hazrat Nizamuddin area. Within no time, the team demolished the illegal construction and got it vacated. At present, the work of removing debris is going on.

Mazar’s caretaker Yusuf Baig said that this mazar is about 500 years old. He said that this is from the time when there was neither a road nor a footpath here. At the same time, Yusuf Baig said that there was talk with SDM last days, SDM said to remove some part, but action was taken even after we removed 13 meter part. The PWD team removed the tin shed and broke the walls including two rooms.

Bulldozer also ran in Vasant Kunj
