Questions are being raised one after the other on the security in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. In this episode today i.e. on Friday another prisoner has lost his life. Please tell that the prisoner committed suicide by hanging himself in the common bathroom of Ward No. 6 of Tihar Jail No. 4. Due to this, questions are being raised once again on the jail administration. In a hurry, the prisoner was taken to the hospital, but the doctor declared him brought dead.
Javed committed suicide on 23 May
According to media reports, the name of the prisoner who committed suicide is Imran, who is 29 years old. He was lodged in Central Jail No. 4 on 24 February 2023. The prisoner was booked under IPC and Arms Act. Let us inform that this is the second case of suicide of a prisoner during a week in Tihar Jail of Delhi. On May 23 also, a prisoner named Javed committed suicide in Tihar Jail. He was convicted by the court of additional sessions judge in a robbery case in 2016.
Earlier the murder of Tillu Tajpuria
Let us inform that earlier the incident of murder of Tillu Tajpuria was also seen in Tihar Jail. On May 2, 33-year-old Tillu Tajpuria was allegedly stabbed to death by four members of the Gogi gang. The Delhi High Court had expressed concern over the murder of Tillu Tajpuria. The court reprimanded the jail administration and asked sharp questions. Along with this, action was also taken by the jail administration against the negligent security officers. In this case, the administration had transferred 80 other jail officials including 5 deputy jail superintendents.
