A heart-wrenching incident has come to the fore on Wednesday night on the day of Holi in the country’s capital Delhi. Here, two people were killed and eight people, including children, were injured when a speeding Thar hit them in Malai Mandir area of New Delhi. On this accident, the police said that the two people who were hit by the car have been identified as Munna and Sameer.

In this accident, the police said that the Thar car driver was driving at a high speed. After this he lost control of the car and the car hit two people. Along with this, the car collided with two other four wheelers and three nearby shops also suffered heavy damage due to this collision.

All the injured in this road accident were admitted to AIIMS in Delhi, after which the doctors there are treating them. Police said that all these injured are residents of Shiva Camp, Vasant Vihar and Ekta Vihar.
Police engaged in investigation
After this accident, the accused driver fled leaving his Mahindra Thar. Police said that he has been caught and is being interrogated. On this matter DCP Southwest Manoj said that the accused has been booked under sections of road traffic accident case. He said that the accused told during interrogation that the Thar did not belong to him, he was working for someone. The owner of Thar was not present in Delhi at the time of the accident. He had gone out for some personal work. The DCP told that we are examining the facts and evidence, appropriate action will be taken in the matter.
