A big accident has happened in the capital Delhi today on the day of Holi. A five-storey building collapsed in Delhi’s Bhajanpura area this afternoon. However, so far no casualties have been reported in the accident. According to the police, the fire department has reached the spot and the rescue operation is underway. Police said the cause of the building collapse is yet to be ascertained.
The video of the building collapse is going viral on social media. In a video shared by ANI, the building can be seen collapsing while people can be heard screaming. According to police officials, the fire department received information at 3:05 pm. After this, 3 fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to the incident.
As per the latest updates, fire brigade teams are present at the spot and rescue operations are underway. Let us tell you that earlier on March 1, a four-storey building on Roshanara Road in North Delhi had collapsed after a fire. Three firefighters suffered minor injuries during the rescue operation and at least 50 firefighters escaped unhurt.
