Manoj Nayak – Mahasamund. There was an uproar on Tuesday morning near village Tumgaon river turn in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. Truck drivers blocked the road by parking trucks on the highway against the illegal recovery of police personnel, due to which long queues of vehicles started on both sides of this road. Truck drivers also made videos of policemen doing illegal recovery. In which it is clearly visible that the policemen who were allegedly doing extortion wore uniforms, but the name plate which was always attached near their shirt pocket was missing.
Drivers got angry after breaking the glass of the truck
During the ruckus, the truck drivers alleged that the policemen make illegal recovery from the trucks plying on this National Highway. When the policemen refused to give the amount of illegal recovery, the policemen broke the glasses of the vehicles. Angered by the high-handedness of the police, truck drivers parked their trucks on the highway, leading to a long traffic jam on the Mumbai-Howrah road.

When the district administration came to know about this, they took charge and directed the SP to investigate and take immediate action. It may be noted that the movement of small vehicles was also hampered due to uproar by truck drivers and parking of vehicles in the beach road, which seemed to be troubled in this scorching sun.
