Coming from remote areas of Orchha block of Narayanpur district, 60-70 children are taking training here. Many Naxal training camps are being operated in Abujhmad, known as the safe zone of Naxalites. In the recent incident in Dantewada, IG Bastar had informed about the use of minor children to carry out landmine blasts. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to bring out the talents of Abujhmad by giving a new direction to the children.
Training center opened in Narayanpur
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has also been impressed by seeing the talent of the children of the highly Naxal-affected area of Abujhmad in Mallakhamb. The Government of Chhattisgarh is also setting up Mallankhab Academy in Narayanpur district at a cost of Rs 2.25 crore. During his stay in Narayanpur, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has gone to the training center to see the talent of the children. With the help of the government and administration, training is being made available to the children in a better environment. Praising the children, Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board Chairman and MLA Chandan Kashyap said that every possible help will be provided to enhance the talent of the children who spew gold from the pile of gunpowder.
So far 50 medals have come in the account of the three children who have returned from Bhutan.
Retired coach of the Sports Authority of India and State Secretary Dr. Rajkumar Sharma said that the three children who have returned from the World Championship Bhutan have so far won 50 medals. He said that 10 to 15 children of Narayanpur and Abujhmad are playing at the national level. Rakesh Varada, Mano Dhurve, Rakesh Korram, Sarita Poyam, Aayatu Korram, Shyam Lal Potai are prominently involved in these children. On the other hand, District Sports Officer Ashok Usendi told that Mallakhamb game has become very popular in Narayanpur district. Now this game is being adopted in all the district headquarters.

Commando Manoj Prasad said that, I have been a player of Mallakhamb, after seeing the children, it came to my mind that, thanks to Mallakhamb, they should be taken out and given a new direction to their lives. After this, I started giving Mallakhamb training to the children of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram and Pota Cabin Devgaon. After this the process went ahead and today more than 100 children are taking training. This includes 60-70 children from Naxalite affected area of Abujhmad. The family of these children did not even have a proper house to live in. Now two to three lakh rupees are in his bank account through sports. Our three children have done exceptionally well in the World Championship in Bhutan. The children of the village cut off from the country and the world are making their name famous in foreign countries. This is a matter of great pride. The government and administration are getting full help in this campaign. The children of the backward village of Abujhmad have found a new path. The children of Naxal-affected villages are getting a new identity through sports. The aim is to give recognition to the children in the world by adding them to the mainstream of the society.
Children raised in gunpowder are spewing gold
Three players from Narayanpur district have represented Chhattisgarh in the World Cup Championship. These children have brought laurels to Narayanpur and the state of Chhattisgarh by winning the gold medal in the Mallakhambam competition. Mallakhamb in Narayanpur district has a good sports environment. Keeping in view the local talents, the Chief Minister has announced the establishment of Mallakhamb Academy. The residential complex will be constructed at a cost of Rs.2 crore. Also, a coach is being appointed. The children are from the interior villages of Abujhmad. All possible help is being provided to these children from the government and administration.
