Raipur. The Sian Jatan Clinic, run every Thursday in AYUSH institutions of Chhattisgarh, has been appreciated at the national level. Union Ministry of AYUSH recently organized the National AYUSH Mission Conclave in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan, P. Dayanand, Secretary, Medical Education Department, made a presentation on this.
In the conclave, excellent and innovative activities conducted across the country under the National Ayush Mission were presented. Sian Jatan Clinic, started in Chhattisgarh for the health care of the elderly, was included by the Government of India as a special activity in this conclave. On the other hand, representing Chhattisgarh in the National Ayush Mission Conclave, Medical Education Department Secretary P. Dayanand informed about the objectives, functioning and beneficiaries of Sian Jatan Clinic.
About four lakh senior citizens were provided with health facilities
He informed that special OPD services and Panchkarma services are conducted for the elderly every Thursday in all the 1174 government AYUSH institutions of the state. Health facilities have been provided to more than four lakh senior citizens through these clinics which were started in May last year. Describing Sian Jatan Clinic as an exemplary initiative, senior officials of the Government of India and officials of other states present in the conclave urged Chhattisgarh to provide necessary guidance and technical support to start such clinics in their respective states.
