Service of 11 doctors terminated: These doctors were not present at work for more than three years

Raipur. The health department has terminated the services of 11 doctors who were absent for more than three years. On the other hand, two doctors have been given one last time to give their explanation within 15 days. On the proposal of the Director, Health Services, to institute a departmental inquiry against a total of 24 medical officers who were unauthorizedly absent, the absence period of five medical officers who were unauthorizedly absent was declared non-working day (Dijanan) and the service of six medical officers was terminated. A separate departmental order has been issued by the department on last February 7, disposing of his absence period under Basic Rule 17 ‘A’ and Rule 27 of Pension Rules 1976.

The hearing of the case was fixed on December 1, 2022, giving a reasonable opportunity to the remaining 13 medical officers to explain the reasons for their absence by the department. But none of these 13 medical officers appeared in the hearing nor was any representation made by them. Out of these Medical Officers, 11 Medical Officers are absent for more than three years and two Medical Officers for less than three years. It has been decided by the State Government to terminate the service against 11 absent medical officers for being absent for more than three years and to institute departmental inquiry on those absent for less than three years and to extend the period if they are under probation.

Among the 11 medical officers whose services have been terminated- Dr. Sumit Solanki, Medical Officer, Ten Bed Hospital, Nava Raipur, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, Medical Officer, District Hospital Kabirdham, Dr. Riddhi Arora, Medical Officer, District Hospital Durg , Dr. Surendra Kumar Sistu, Medical Officer, District Hospital Durg, Dr. Chhavi Jangde, Medical Officer, District Hospital Bemetara, Dr. Parul Jogi, Medical Officer, Community Health Center Masturi, Dr. Tanya Mishra, Medical Officer, 50 Beds, MCH, Dr. Sharda Parihar, Medical Officer, District Hospital Mungeli, Dr. Shaba Parveen, Medical Officer, District Hospital Surajpur, Dr. Dhananjay Prasad Sahu, Medical Officer, Community Health Center Sonhat and Dr. Kamal Kumar Dahire, Medical Officer, Community Health Center Farsabahar.
