Raipur. Congressmen have organized a one-day Satyagraha in Chhattisgarh over the cancellation of parliamentary membership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. In this episode, party leaders gathered in front of the Congress district office in the capital Raipur and demonstrated by singing the hymn ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. During this, Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay protested in a unique way by locking his mouth. Congressmen say that when freedom of speech has been abolished in a democracy, then it is better to lock the tongue and Congressmen are opposing these undemocratic policies of the Central Government.
Membership terminated without completing the constitutional process
During the demonstration, Congress leader and Municipal Corporation Chairman Pramod Dubey said that there was a time when the British used to punish without any hearing. Exactly the same has happened with Rahul Gandhi. Without completing the constitutional process, the Election Commission terminated the membership of Rahul Gandhi, while it was first to be sent to the President. During this, apart from Congress City President Girish Dubey, Mayor Ejaz Dhebar and MIC member Srikumar Menon, many Congress leaders were present.
Mohan Markam did Satyagraha in Kondagaon
At the same time, PCC Chief Mohan Markam joined the Satyagraha organized in his constituency and home district Kondagaon. After garlanding the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar here, Mohan started Satyagraha and protested silently along with Congress leader-workers.
Central government scared of Bharat Jodo Yatra
Congress leaders did satyagraha in Jagdalpur, the divisional headquarters of Bastar. Local MLA Rekhchand Jain, mayor and senior Congress leaders participated in the demonstration at the martyr’s memorial in front of the Gandhi statue in Jagdalpur city. Congressmen staged a protest here singing the song Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. During this, MLA Rekhchand Jain said that, the central government is badly scared of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Because of this, it is trying to suppress the opposition by taking such action.
