Naushad Ahmed / Surajpur. The divisional conference of Surajpur Sarpanch Sangh in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh was held at the Circuit House. Hundreds of sarpanchs of the district along with the state president were present here. During this various strategies were discussed. Along with this, in the coming elections, if the government does not consider the matter of Sarpanch Sangh seriously, then on behalf of Sarpanch Sangh, it has also been considered to contest the MLA elections in the entire Chhattisgarh.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Sarpanch Sangh President Aditya Upadhyay told how injustice is being done to the sarpanches in the state. On the one hand, the government is talking about giving rights to the sarpanchs and making them agencies for work up to 50 lakhs. On the other hand, the officials sitting in the administration are also getting the work worth one lakh done by looking at the RES department or any other department. Due to this, the condition of Sarpanchs is getting worse, the way the MLA Speaker’s fund is there, at least 10 lakh Sarpanchs should also have the same fund. We are continuously agitating and many times wanted to discuss with the government, but till date neither the Chief Minister nor the Panchayat Minister has met us.
Attempts are being made to suppress the rights
Aditya Upadhyay said that the work of suppressing our rights is also being done. SDM can also sack us under 39, 40. We want change on that too. If the government does not give any consideration to our talks in time, then definitely the Sarpanch Sangh will take a big step. Its decision will be seen very soon, for which preparations have been started. During this, President of Sarpanch Sangh Ramanuj Nagar Awadhesh Pratap Singh said that the way the works of the schools were given to the contractors, who are doing their own thing and it is not given to the Panchayat, then the Sarpanch Sangh will launch a big movement.
