Rally to remind the promise: Kotwar Sangh took out the rally to fulfill the promise, demonstrated and handed over the memorandum to the SDM in the name of the CM

Anil Upadhyay / Sitapur. Four years ago in Chhattisgarh, the Kotwar Sangh took out a promise rally in Sitapur to remind the promise made by the Chief Minister in the provincial session of the Kotwar Sangh. During this, the Kotwar Sangh demonstrated a one-day strike and handed over a memorandum to the SDM in support of its two-point demands.

In fact, on the call of the Provincial Kotwar Association, the Kotwar Sangh took out a Promise Rally to remind the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of the promises made in the provincial session of the Kotwars four years ago. During this, the Kotwar Sangh also staged a one-day protest in support of their demands. During the dharna, the Kotwar Sangh said that in neighboring states like Odisha, Maharashtra and Jharkhand, Kotwars have the status of government employees. On the basis of this, they are getting respectable salary and benefits of all the facilities of governance, whereas in a prosperous state like Chhattisgarh, Kotwars have not been given this facility. Because of this, the Kotwars are neither getting respectable salary nor are they getting the benefit of other facilities of the government.

Demand to give landowner rights of Kotwari land

The Sangh said that, to restore this facility in Chhattisgarh also, on February 23, 2019, the provincial convention of the Kotwar Sangh was organized in the state capital Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who came to participate in it, had promised to give Kotwars the status of government employees and landowner rights of the land given to Kotwars. Four years are about to pass, but the government has not yet fulfilled its promise made to the Kotwars. Due to this, despair has prevailed in the Kotwars of the entire state. In this regard, on the call of the provincial body, Tehsil Kotwar Sangh took out a promise-fulfilment rally to remind the Chief Minister of his promise. During this one-day dharna, the Kotwar Sangh submitted a memorandum to the SDM in the name of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, while giving the status of a government employee, demanding merger in the Revenue Department and the landowner’s rights of the Kotwari land. During this a large number of Kotwars were present.
