Raipur. Millet Carnival was organized on 16-17 September at Magneto Mall located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, common citizens tasted delicious millet dishes and were also given health related information. The objective of the Millet Carnival is to include millet in people’s daily diet and to create public awareness about its nutritional value. On this occasion, students of Agricultural University and Kavitha Nadimpalli, founder of Immunomillet, explained the characteristics of millet to the participants and visitors.
On this occasion, a poster competition was organized on the theme of Millets. In which posters have been made by the participants on the themes of Millets and Walk Back, Millets Diversity, Millets for Good Health. In the Millet Carnival, food producing farmers doing excellent work in the field of agriculture and young entrepreneurs doing entrepreneurship by taking agricultural education will also be honoured. AgriVision coordinator Nikhil Tiwari said that the aim of the Millet Carnival is to motivate agriculture students for self-employment through production, processing of grains etc.
