Raipur. The birth, penance and salvation welfare of 16th Tirthankar 1008 Shri Shantinath Bhagwan Ji was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Adinath Digambar Jain Bade Mandir Panchayat Trust Malviya Road in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.

Shreyash Jain, vice-chairman of the trust committee, told that on Jyestha Krishna Chaturdashi, the 16th Tirthankara of Jainism, Lord Shantinath attained birth, penance and salvation. Religion was never divided after the rule of Lord Shantinath. Shantinath Bhagwan’s Jinabhishek was done through Shanti Dhara Rajat Kalasho in the Bade Mandir at 8 am on Thursday. Along with this worship of Shri ji and 108 Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj were also worshiped and aarti was performed on Thursday Chaturdashi festival. After this, the Mahila Mandal of Bade Mandir organized a peace assembly. A large number of people of Jain community were present in this program.
