Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Godhan Nyaya Yojana is such a decision taken in the interest of the villagers, due to which they are getting financial help as well as employment and they are becoming financially strong. Gothans have shown the way for rural women to achieve economic strength by doing more than one work at the same time through the group. The dream of village self-reliance is coming true from the Gothans.
In this sequence, the women of Nandini Mahila Self Help Group in Beltikari Gothan of Bilaigarh development block are uniting and doing the work of mushroom production in a better way. Apart from this, the land situated in Gothan is also being used for cultivating different types of vegetables. Not only this, a large amount of construction work is being done by actively participating in the regular works of Gothan, which include vermicompost making and cow urine collection and sale etc.
Women of the group successfully operating Gothan
Gothan is being successfully operated by the women of the group. Keeping in view the importance of livestock at the village level, the concept of Gothan was to provide them ample fodder, make vermicompost from cow dung and collect cow urine. Realizing the importance of livestock, 100 percent execution of all these works is being done in Beltikari Gothan under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
Water filter plant is also being operated
Water filter plant is being successfully operated in Beltikari Gothan. With its help, water bottles and 20 liter water jars are being prepared. Not only this, it is also being sold in the local market, which is definitely a great option for self-employment to strengthen the rural economy.
