Raipur. The court has extended the remand period of businessman Anwar Dhebar arrested in the money laundering case. After the end of the interrogation period, on Wednesday, the ED presented in the court and demanded extension of the remand period, on which the remand period of Anwar Dhebar has been extended by 5 days. Meanwhile, the ED also arrested Nitesh Purohit alias Appu in the liquor scam and produced him in the court. ED sought remand from the court to interrogate Appu as well.
The ED team probing money laundering has arrested Nitesh Purohit alias Appu. After the remand period of previously arrested Anwar Dhebar was over, Appu was also produced in the special court along with him. It is worth mentioning that the ED produced Anwar Dhebar, who was arrested from Hotel Grand Imperia on Saturday, in the court today. ED had sought 10 days remand of Anwar Dhebar from the court, but only 4 days remand was received. Before the expiry of the remand on Wednesday, the ED again produced Anwar Dhebar in the Samshal court. Along with Anwar, the ED has also produced Nitesh Purohit, the controversial director of Giriraj Hotel. Nitesh was presented to the court and ED due to his illness, he was sent to AIIMS for investigation. The health report of AIIMS and the order of the court are now awaited. Anwar was presented by the ED in the court of Ajay Singh Rajput after four days remand, along with Nitish Purohit.
Nitesh Purohit’s old association with controversies
It is also important for you to know who Nitesh Purohit is in the custody of ED. Nitesh, his wife and son were claimed by Neha Purohit to be the director of Giriraj Hotel and she alleged harassment. The victim Neha is getting the protection of a big leader and builder while releasing a video. For this reason, even after complaining from the police station to the SSP, DGP, the police is not taking action. If further action is not taken then I will demand euthanasia before the Governor.
This time medical examination in AIIMS
ED’s Raipur unit was earlier getting the accused medically examined at Ambedkar Hospital. Before the arrest, everyone was investigated here. Mekahara was the only one who brought Suryakant to jail after his illness. But suddenly ED is now getting the accused directly checked in AIIMS. Nitesh was also taken there.
