Bhilai. The court has given its verdict in the case of murder of the female manager of Shiva Coaching Center located in Civic Center of Bhilai in Chhattisgarh. In this almost 6 year old case, the court has convicted former coaching student Manish Yadav and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The female manager had left home to go to coaching, then her body was found.
Woman’s body was found in Utai
Regarding this incident, District Public Prosecutor CL Sahu told us that in October 2017, Jaswinder Singh, resident of Ruabandha Sector, had lodged a report in the police station. In the report, he told that his wife Kuldeep Kaur is the manager of Shiva Coaching, she had left home by car to go to coaching, but till now she has not returned home. During police investigation, the body of manager Kuldeep Kaur was found near CISF boundary wall Utai.
The accused was caught through call details
In this case, during the investigation, the police got the call details and CDR of both the mobile numbers of Kuldeep and found out that between 2015-16, there used to be a lot of conversation between Manish Yadav and Kuldeep Kaur, resident of Gandhi Chowk Ambikapur. Even on the day of the murder, the location of Manish and Kuldeep’s mobile was at the same place. After which the police arrested Manish from Ambikapur, upon strict interrogation he confessed to the murder. While hearing this case, Durg District Court, if the charges are proved, has sentenced the accused youth Manish Yadav to life imprisonment and a fine of one thousand rupees in the murder case.
There were illicit relations between the two
During interrogation, accused Manish Yadav told the police that he used to study in Shiva Coaching Centre. During this time, he was introduced to Kuldeep Kaur, after which he started living in her house on rent. Meanwhile, both came closer and a relationship developed between them. After completing his studies, Manish Yadav went back to Ambikapur, but he kept meeting Kuldeep Kaur from time to time.
Dispute regarding breaking of marriage
Manish Yadav told the police that on 14 October 2017, as usual, he had come to Bhilai to meet Kuldeep Kaur. Kuldeep had gone to the station in her car to pick him up. During this time, he started pressurizing her to have physical relations in the car itself. On this Manish told Kuldeep not to break his marriage and to keep distance from him, now he is going to get married.
Murder by strangulation with scarf
On this, Kuldeep started threatening him that she would implicate him in a rape case and break the marriage. Frightened, Manish strangled Kuldeep Kaur to death with her dupatta in the car itself. After this, he ran away with all the important documents along with the mobile phone kept in Kuldeep Kaur’s bag. After which the police arrested him.
