CM’s Advisor took the meeting: review of implementation of Forest Rights Patta and PESA Act

Kuljot Sandhu-Keshkal / Kondagaon. Rajesh Tiwari, Parliamentary Advisor to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, took a meeting of district officials in the Kondagaon collectorate hall. During this, while reviewing the implementation of the provisions of the Primitive Castes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers Act and the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Provisions Rules in the district, he said that proper management, maintenance and promotion of forest resources, including providing forest resource rights to the local community in the district Their wide participation should be ensured in proper exploitation. A pilot project should be prepared in this direction, in which a cluster of villages holding forest resource letters should be made aware of the local community for proper exploitation including management, conservation and promotion of forest resources. Groups should be formed by including villagers, women and youth in the concerned villages and they should be given necessary training and explained to increase income by connecting them with forest produce collection and processing activities. District level officers of various departments including Collector Deepak Soni, District Panchayat CEO Prem Prakash Sharma, Kondagaon DFO RK Jangde were present in the meeting.
