Which is a middle class farmer family who is a resident of Patelpara of Gram Panchayat Gumda under District Panchayat Geedam. Sundara depends on agriculture and labor for the survival of her family. Due to the untimely death of her husband some time ago, the entire responsibility of the house and the only daughter fell on the shoulders of Sundara. The economic condition of Sundara’s family was weak due to the absence of other male members in the house and the way of living from agriculture. Due to this, it seemed impossible to fulfill her dream of having her own pucca house with her late husband and she was forced to live in dilapidated kutcha and thatched house.
Converted raw house to pucca house with PM Awas Yojana
Meanwhile, the important scheme of the central government came to know about Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. After Sundara got the approval of the house under the scheme in 2018-19, she got the hope of realizing her dream of a pucca house. In completing which Sundara’s father and brothers also provided all possible help. Under the scheme, 1,30,000 to Sundara for house construction, 12,000 for toilet and 95 days wages under MNREGA were also transferred to Sundara’s bank account by the government. Along with this, cooking gas was also given by the government under the Ujjwala scheme. Full of sense of security and self-confidence, Sundara is feeling a positive change in her social status and health after the completion of Prime Minister’s residence.
