Congress will do Rail Roko agitation
Pradeep Borkar-Khairagarh. Congress held a press conference at the district headquarters against the continuous cancellation of passenger trains by the Railways in Chhattisgarh state and informed about the phased movement against the canceled trains. Addressing a press conference at district headquarters Khairagarh, State Congress member Shrikumar Menon, while giving information about the movement, said that despite Bilaspur zone of the state getting the highest revenue, the central government is continuously behaving step-motherly in the matter of passenger trains.
Adani is being benefited: Memon
Menon said that the railway service has completely collapsed in the last nine years. The Central Government has spoiled the 70 year old system of Railways. Trains are being canceled on other days including festivals. Problems in operation of trains continue till now after Covid. Menon alleged that by allowing the operation of goods trains only to benefit its national friend Adani, the Central Government has disrupted the rest of the trains. The central government is busy selling the country with Adani. Passenger trains are being canceled deliberately. Congress will start a phased movement against the continuous cancellation of trains by the Railways.
Will start from 13th September
It will start on 13th September with Rail Roko agitation at various stations and junctions. After this, a demand will be made to restore the train service regularly in the state by gheraoing the offices of various officials including DRM of the Railways. In the press conference, MLA Yashoda Verma said that to increase the problems of the common people, the Central Government is trying to use the Railways for private facilities. It is Tuli. More than half the population is dependent on the Railways, yet the Modi government is hatching conspiracies with Adani.
