Mystery of blind murder solved
Janjgir-Champa. Police has made a big revelation on the blind murder that took place in village Kapan of Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Police said that fed up with the daily fights and taunts, the daughter-in-law had killed her mother-in-law. The police has arrested the murderer daughter-in-law.
According to the information received, on November 14, a dead body of a woman was found near village Kapan Nala, who was identified by the name of Gurubari Bai Kevat. There were also serious injury marks on the head of the deceased, information about which was given to Naila Chowki police. In the post-mortem report, the police found out that the woman died due to serious head injury. After which the police had registered a case 799/2023 under section 302 against the unknown accused.
Fed up with taunts, mother-in-law murdered
During the investigation of the case, the police came to know that there were frequent disputes over small matters between the deceased Gurubari Bai and the elder daughter-in-law of the house, 33-year-old Chhath Bai Kevat. Chhath Bai Kewat, the suspect in this murder case, when interrogated, told that the deceased’s mother-in-law, Gurubari Bai, used to fight over small things and taunt her on everything. Fed up with this, on the morning of 14th November, when the mother-in-law had gone to the drain to defecate, he went from behind and killed her by hitting her on the head with a stick and an iron rod. After this, the police arrested the accused Chhath Bai Kewat in the case and sent him to jail and the bamboo stick and iron baton used in the incident have been recovered by the police.
