On Saturday, residents of Ward No. 14 surrounded Bagbahra police station. During this time, a large number of youth along with women and children were also present. People demonstrated outside the police station for a long time. After this, people ended the protest on the assurance of Bagbahra police station in-charge of appropriate action.
In fact, people of ward number 14 of Bagbahra, being upset with the illegal sale of liquor and liquor shops in the street, surrounded the police station on Saturday. The angry women and children said that liquor is being sold illegally in the ward and people keep abusing in the streets under the influence of alcohol. They also make indecent comments on women passing on the road. People ended the protest after Bagbahra police station in-charge assured them of appropriate action.
