Soma Sharma-Nawapara.On Amla Navami day in Nawapara, Chhattisgarh, teachers worshiped the Amla tree located in the school and ate food sitting under its shade. Since there was no holiday in the school, all the teachers including the Principal worshiped the Amla tree in the school garden and had a collective meal during the lunch break.
Principal Sandhya Sharma told that the school has started after the long holiday of Diwali and elections. The series of festivals also continues. Along with studies, students should also have knowledge of their culture and tradition. Keeping these things in mind, every festival is celebrated in the school. The teachers who organized the group dinner said that it was not possible to take leave, hence everyone celebrated Amla Navami in the school itself. Half of the time is spent in school, here also we all are a family. The special thing about this group feast was that all the teachers had prepared one item each from their home. Some had pulao, some had vegetables, some had raita and vermicelli. Seeing the enthusiasm of the teachers, the teachers also supported them and participated in the feast.

On this occasion, Principal Sandhya Sharma along with senior lecturers FK Dani, SN Dewangan, Mahesh Verma, Santosh Chhabra, Durgesh Banjare, Avinash Baghel, Sonuram Sahu, Khemin Sahu specially participated.
