Here women took the responsibility of security
When we talk about security, our prejudices come to the fore and due to the male-dominated society, it is difficult to digest the responsibility of security on women. But Baikunthpur Additional Superintendent of Police Monica Thakur and SDOP Kavita Thakur proved that they are capable, strong and self-reliant in important tasks like elections.
Both the officers kept taking updates from the police station and police personnel regarding the security arrangements. She also kept encouraging her subordinates to work as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. As soon as the code of conduct was imposed, she remained concerned about law and order on the lines of 24 by 7. Worked day and night for security, peace and cooperation. She did not lag behind in continuously running for fear-free and fair elections.
