A big decision has been taken in the cabinet sub-committee meeting of Congress. Food Minister Amarjeet Bhagat, who participated in this meeting, said that the government will buy paddy from farmers at any cost…this time 20 quintals of paddy will be purchased instead of 15. Apart from this, additional resources will be required, for which instructions have been given to departmental officers. Also, regarding the reduction in the rice quota of the Centre, Food Minister Amarjeet said that farmers are not the priority of the Central Government, as per their thinking…they are reducing it.
Money deposited in the accounts of beneficiaries…
CM Bhupesh Baghel, while addressing the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana after depositing money in their accounts, said that the rains are good this year. Production is also expected to be good. Wherever I go in the state, I see lush green fields. The government has made a record in purchasing paddy every year. This year 125 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is expected to be purchased. The central government has reduced the quota for purchasing rice from Chhattisgarh. I have written a letter to the Central Government requesting to increase the quota.
