Raipur. In Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha budget session, MLAs Dharamjit Singh and Shailesh Pandey raised the issue of child drowning in sewerage. Dharamjit Singh and Shailesh Pandey expressed concern and sorrow over the death of a child named Aditya Vaishnav due to drowning in sewerage in Torwa, Bilaspur and demanded closure of open sewerage. Regarding the incident, the Assembly Speaker directed the departmental minister to take the matter into cognizance.
BJP MLA Brijmohan Agarwal raised the issue of ASI’s body being found under suspicious circumstances at Bango police station in Korba in the House. He accused the ASI’s death of target killing by taking a contract. He also raised the issue of making bamboo available to Basod families in drawing attention. Brijmohan Agarwal said- The government is not able to make bamboo available across the state, due to which the livelihood of Basod families is being affected. Responding to Mr. Aggarwal’s questions, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar said that according to the availability of bamboo in all the districts, bamboo is being made available. Bamboo is not produced in Raipur district, yet bamboo is being made available as per availability.
The process of taking bamboo from Balaghat should be completed: Dharamjit Singh
The Forest Minister said that compared to the BJP government, our government made more number of bamboos available. MLA Dharamjeet Singh said, if animals can be brought from other states then why not bamboo. There is a bumper yield of bamboo in Balaghat. Dharamjit Singh urged the Forest Minister and said that the process of taking bamboo should be completed by sending an officer to Balaghat. Forest Minister Akbar said that he will take a decision on this after talking to the officer. Full help will be given to the Bansod families.
