Raipur. A major update has been received in the murder case of an air hostess resident of Raipur in Mumbai. The accused of murder of trainee air hostess Rupal Ogre hanged himself in the lockup of Andheri police station in Mumbai. 50 year old accused Vikram Atwal committed suicide by hanging himself in the lockup of the police station. His body was found hanging in the barrack on Friday morning.
It is noteworthy that the dead body of trainee air hostess Rupal Ogre, resident of New Rajendra Nagar, Raipur, was found in her flat in Mumbai on September 3. House keeper Vikram Atwal was arrested on this charge. The police had presented the accused Vikram Atwal in the court. Where he was sent to police custody till 8 September. He committed suicide in the lockup of the police station itself.

When he went to pick up the garbage, there was an argument, rape…after failing in the attempt, he took his life.
Trainee air hostess Rupal Ogre lived in the building of NG Complex, Mumbai. Accused Vikram Atwal used to work as house keeping in the same building. On September 3, the accused entered the flat to collect garbage. Where he had an argument with Rupal over some issue. Meanwhile, the accused attacked the girl with the intention of raping her, then as soon as he got the chance, he killed the girl by slitting her throat.

Blood stained clothes and knife found in bushes
According to Mumbai Police, the wife of accused Vikram also used to work as house keeping in the building. She was on leave on the day the incident took place. After the incident, the police recovered a knife from the accused and blood stained clothes in the bushes near the building.

Last rites performed in Raipur
Rupal Ogre’s father Chandrika Ogre is a retired civil engineer. She lived in Mumbai with her sister and one of her friends since April this year. Both had gone to their hometown at the time of the murder. Rupal was alone in the flat. She was a trainee air hostess in a private airline company.
