Raipur. Congress in-charge Kumari Selja has met the workers who came under fire during Congress’s torch rally in Jagdalpur. State Congress President Mohan Markam and Minister Kawasi Lakhma were also with him during this period. Please inform that 2 out of 6 scorched in the accident are being treated at DKS Hospital.

It may be noted that the accident took place during the torch rally of Congressmen in Jagdalpur district of Chhattisgarh. Here 6 Congress workers got burnt while setting fire to the torch. Many parts of the body including their face, hands and feet have been burnt. The injured Congress workers were immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment, where their treatment is going on.

In fact, Congress had taken out its torch rally on Friday late evening. Hundreds of Congress workers, including local MLAs, Congress city district president and mayor participated in the rally. The workers running in the rally had torches in their hands. The fire of many torches had been extinguished, while re-lighting, suddenly the fire of the torch flared up so much that 6 Congress workers got scorched due to the fire. Many parts of the body including their face, hands and feet have been burnt. Immediately all the Congress workers were admitted to the Maharani Hospital in the city.
