Bihar Floor Test:The floor test of the NDA government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar will be held on Monday (February 12). Before this, the political turmoil intensified from Sunday itself. BJP-JDU, HAM and other parties including RJD, Congress, CPI (ML) in NDA are trying to keep their MLAs in their fold. All JDU MLAs are staying in Chanakya Hotel. At the same time, all the MLAs of RJD and Congress have surrounded the official residence of former Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. At around 11 pm, a police team reached his Patna residence.

Nitish said- we will seek trust vote
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called a meeting of JDU’s legislature on Sunday evening. All 45 MLAs did not attend. It is being told that 4 MLAs Bima Bharti, Sudarshan, Dilip Rai and Rinku Singh were missing from the meeting. Their phones are switched off. Chief Minister Nitish issued whip for JDU MLAs. In the meeting, Nitish Kumar told the MLAs that we have the numbers and will get the trust vote in the Assembly on Monday. All MLAs should reach the House on time and should not show any kind of excitement. Jitan Ram Manjhi said that Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) is with NDA.

Opposition MLAs gathered at Tejashwi’s residence
On the other hand, 16 Congress MLAs from the opposition camp have reached Patna from Hyderabad. All 19 Congress MLAs are present at the residence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi. This is where RJD MLAs will spend the night. Cots were arranged for the MLAs to stay at night. All the MLAs will leave from here in the morning to participate in the assembly proceedings. Meanwhile, at around 11 pm on Sunday night, City SP Chandra Prakash along with SDM reached Tejashwi Yadav’s residence in Patna. RJD currently has the maximum number of 79 MLAs. Tejashwi Yadav has claimed that 17 JDU MLAs are with the opposition.

What is the mathematics of assembly in Bihar?
The total number of seats in Bihar Assembly is 243. The majority figure is 122. Currently NDA has the support of 128 MLAs. These include 28 from BJP, 45 from JDU, 4 from HAM and one independent Sumit Singh. On the other hand, the opposition has the support of 114 MLAs. These include 79 MLAs from RJD, 19 from Congress, 12 from CPI (ML), 2 from CPI (M), 2 from CPI and one MLA from AIMIM.
