A big news is coming out from Bihar. Goods train derailed in Bihar’s Rohtas district. Due to this, the movement of other trains has also stopped. Giving information about the matter, the Chief Manager of the Dedicated Freight Corridor said that at present our priority is to repair the track and start the operation of the goods train. The incident took place between Gaya-Deendayal Upadhyay station. Due to this, the movement of goods trains on the dedicated freight corridor has also come to a standstill. According to the information received, 13 coaches of the goods train have derailed. Out of this, 5 coaches have been damaged. This is causing hindrance in the movement of other trains. The work of clearing the track is being done at a fast pace.
The goods train overturned in the month of September as well
Let us inform that in the month of September last year also a similar incident had come to light from Rohtas. On 22 September 2022, 22 coaches of the goods train were derailed in the district. You will be surprised to know that this incident also took place near Kumhau railway station of Gaya-Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay railway block. Operations on both the up and down lines were affected in the accident. Due to this many trains were delayed. During the accident, it made such a loud noise that the local people got scared.
Railway officials had reached the spot as soon as the incident happened. After this, arrangements were made to clear the track immediately. The accident goods train had a total of 48 coaches, out of which the front 26 coaches along with the engine were derailed, while the remaining 22 rear coaches were derailed. Although no one was killed in this incident. In this accident, apart from the rail track, the wire and the wagons of the goods train were damaged. At the same time, due to this, the routes of 13 trains had to be changed while 8 trains were affected.
