Four people have died in Bihar once again after drinking spurious liquor. Four people have died from Sunday night to Monday morning in Bala village of Lakri Naviganj OP area of Siwan district. At the same time, about ten people are undergoing treatment. Police has arrested 16 people in this case.
DM Amit Kumar Pandey has also issued a statement in this regard. According to which, the deceased have been identified as Janak Bean, Dhurendra Majhi, Rajesh Prasad, Padauli resident Lachhan Dev Ram. He told that some people in Bala village were informed about sudden health deterioration. After which all were being brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment, during this time one person died on the way, while two people died while going to Patna.
He said that soon after getting the information about the incident, he reached the Sadar Hospital on Sunday night and conducted an investigation for about an hour. He said that at present the investigation is going on in this matter. Along with this, the health of about ten people is bad. Whose treatment is still going on.
The DM also informed that so far 16 people have been arrested in this entire case. However, he did not yet clarify whether the death was due to consumption of spurious liquor. On the other hand, about the arrested people, he told that these people were doing some mistakes due to which they have been arrested. Let us tell you that earlier in Bhagwanpur police station area too, about five people had died after drinking spurious liquor.
It is noteworthy that 70 people had died in Bihar due to spurious liquor in the past. After which many questions were raised on the Bihar government regarding this matter. In December 2022 itself, 70 people had died due to consumption of spurious liquor in Chhapra district. After which the police arrested the mastermind from Delhi.
