The Central Government introduced it as ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’ bill. After this this bill will be presented in Rajya Sabha. While presenting the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal told what provisions are there in it. At the same time, opposition parties have called it a jumla. Congress MP Manish Tiwari claimed that it is clearly written in the bill that this bill will come into force after the completion of delimitation. Apart from this, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also claimed that census and delimitation is not expected to happen before the 2024 elections. In such a situation, it will take many years for this bill to be implemented.

The census will be held in 2027 or 2028. After that there will be a process of delimitation and only then the Women’s Reservation Bill will be implemented.
