Uttarakhand Tunnel Update:A big update has come out in the Uttarkashi Tunnel accident. Here, not 40 but 41 laborers are trapped inside the tunnel. Today i.e. on 18th November, it has been seven days since the workers were trapped in the tunnel, the rescue operation to take them out is also stopped. However, till now the rescue team has not achieved any major success. It is being said that the workers trapped inside are being continuously talked to through the pipe. They are all fine.

According to media reports, the team running the rescue operation says that they have been successful in removing 24 meters of debris from the under-construction tunnel that collapsed in Uttarkashi on Friday evening. Here 41 are trapped inside the tunnel. Officials say that supplies are being supplied through pipes to the workers trapped behind 60 meters of debris and constant talks are being held with them.

Relief work has not started again.

After the operation was stopped due to debris falling on the drilling machine on Friday afternoon, the rescue work has not resumed since 4 pm. The machine was supposed to drill into the debris at high speed, but it was slower than expected. Amid reports of technical problems with the American auger machine, similar equipment including a 25-tonne American-made machine was also being brought from Indore as a “backup” for the rescue operation. A special team is now looking at the possibility of vertical drilling from the upper part of the tunnel if horizontal drilling is not successful.
