Karnataka Election: The date has been announced by the Election Commission of India regarding the Karnataka assembly elections. Voting will be held for the assembly elections in Karnataka on May 10 and its results will come on May 13. There are 224 seats in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Out of which present government BJP (121) Independent (1) Opposition (70) Indian National Congress (69) Independent (1) Others (33) JD(S) (32) Nominated (1).
The tenure of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is going to end on May 24. After which both Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress are preparing for the announcement of their candidates for the elections. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Tuesday, March 28, that the BJP would announce its list of candidates in the first week of the coming month. Along with this, State Congress President DK Shivakumar said that the second list will be released on March 30. In which 100 candidates will be included.
