Tamil Nadu Accident: A big information is coming out from Tamil Nadu. In the early hours of Monday, a tourist van parked near the divider on the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway was hit by a truck from behind. In this, 7 women died and 13 people were seriously injured. There was a commotion on the spot after this accident. All the injured people were quickly admitted to the hospital.

According to media reports, all those who lost their lives were residents of the same village and were returning home after a two-day trip to Mysore, Karnataka. All these village people were traveling in two vans. The tire of one of the vans burst near Natrampalli on the Bengaluru-Chennai highway and work was being done to repair it. Meanwhile, some passengers came out of the van and sat in the middle of the road. At the same time, a mini truck coming from Krishnagiri collided with the van, following which the accident occurred.

Injured people admitted to hospital

The deceased have been identified as Meera, Deivanai, Seethammal alias Selvi, Devaki, Savitri, Kalavathi and Geetanjali. Among the injured, 10 people were passengers of the van and 3 were passengers of the truck. Those who were injured have been sent to the Government Medical College Hospital in Krishnagiri and Tirupattur and the hospital in Vaniyambadi for treatment. Nattarampally police have registered a case and a search is on for the truck driver. The CCTV installed on the highway is being thoroughly investigated by the police.

CM announced compensation

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims. He has announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the family of those who lost their lives in the accident and Rs 50,000 from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the injured and those undergoing treatment in the hospital.
