Shubman Gill overtakes Rohit-Virat in ICC rankings, achieved this position in the list

ICC ODI Rankings: India’s young and opener Shubman Gill has got a big gift of excellent batting. Shubman Gill broke into the top 10 batsmen in the latest ICC ODI rankings after scoring 360 runs in the three-match series against New Zealand. Shubman Gill won the Man of the Series award against New Zealand.

Shubman Gill has jumped 20 places to reach the sixth position in the latest ODI batsmen’s rankings released by the ICC. Indian batsman Virat Kohli is ranked seventh in the ICC ODI rankings, while Rohit Sharma has jumped two places to ninth after his blistering century against the Kiwis in Indore. Pakistan captain Babar Azam still enjoys a solid lead at the top (887) in the rankings for ODI batsmen. Rasi van der Dussen and Quinton de Kock of South Africa are at number two and three in the rankings. David Warner of Australia is in fourth and Imam ul Haq of Pakistan in fifth place. There are only three Indian batsmen in the list of top 10 batsmen.

Superb performance by Shubman Gill


Shubman Gill became the Man of the Series after scoring a double century and a century in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Gill completed his fourth ODI century and second of the series by scoring 112 runs in just 78 balls in Indore on Tuesday. Earlier in the Hyderabad match, the opener scored 208 runs to become the fifth Indian to score an ODI double century. Gill also performed brilliantly in the series against Sri Lanka. Shubman Gill has scored 3 centuries in the last 6 ODIs.
