The Union Minister had posted about this on X. Giving information, he wrote that the special session of Parliament (13th session of the 17th Lok Sabha and 261st session of the Rajya Sabha) is being called from 18th to 22nd September, in which there will be 5 meetings. I am waiting for a meaningful discussion and debate in the Parliament during Amrit Kaal.

Significantly, at the end of this year, assembly elections are to be held in many states and Lok Sabha elections next year. There is a lot of rhetoric going on in favor and opposition about this. At the same time, the opposition has targeted the Modi government regarding the special session of Parliament.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today said on Friday that a special session of Parliament has been called without asking the opposition. A special session of Parliament was never called even when Manipur was burning, during the Covid-19 pandemic, on the China issue or on the issue of demonetisation and migrant labourers. He said that I do not know what is the agenda now. This is not the way to run the country. We are slowly moving towards dictatorship.
