Odisha Train Accident:Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) has arrived to visit the site of the train accident in Odisha. First he is visiting the accident site in Balasore district and then he will go to the hospital in Cuttack, where the injured are being treated. Earlier, PM Modi has also held a high level meeting to review the situation. Various issues related to the accident have also been discussed in this. Along with this, senior officials of Railways also participated in this meeting.

Route changes for many trains

Information publication Railway Board Executive Director Amitabh Sharma said that so far, more than 100 people have claimed to have received the compensation amount. He said that three counter locations have been set up for this, these include Balasore, Soro and Bahanaga Bazar. Along with this, it was informed that till now 48 trains have been cancelled, 39 have been rerouted and 10 have been short-terminated. In the triple episode of this train accident, gas cutters were used to remove the bodies from under the derailed coaches. Also, the disaster management personnel (NDRF) and fire brigade have also faced a tough time to retrieve the bodies. The railway tracks at the accident site are also almost destroyed as the coaches were scattered all over and piled on top of each other. Eyewitnesses said that they suddenly heard loud noises, following which they rushed to the spot and saw the derailed coaches. Also, there was nothing there except a pile of steel.
