NIA Raid Today: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids in 10 states today i.e. Wednesday in a case related to human trafficking. If reports are to be believed, these raids have been conducted in Tripura, Assam, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Haryana, Puducherry, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir.

In fact, NIA is running operations at more than four dozen places in these 10 states to detect the racket of human smugglers with international links. Most of these states are such that their borders are with neighboring countries. Tripura, West Bengal, Assam share their borders with Bangladesh, while Jammu and Kashmir shares its border with neighboring country Pakistan.

Raids are being conducted in slum areas

According to media reports, a person named Zafar Alam, a Rohingya Muslim from Myanmar, was caught during a raid in Jammu and Kashmir. This operation of NIA took place in Bathindi area of ​​Jammu at 2 am on Wednesday.Apart from this, these raids are also going on in Guwahati, Assam. NIA officials are conducting raids in Guwahati in the case of making fake documents. According to reports, the raids were specifically targeted at slum areas where migrants from Myanmar live and were conducted in connection with a case related to violation of the Passport Act and human trafficking.

Let us tell you that people who were trafficked through Bangladesh have been settled in different parts of the country. Most of them are Rohingya Muslims. Along with this, information about Bangladeshis living illegally has also been received. Keeping this in mind the raids are being conducted.
