The newly constructed building of Parliament has been completed in record time with quality. How special will the new Parliament House be?

Built in 64 thousand 500 square meters, this building is four storey, in which seating arrangements have been made for 1224 MPs. The new Parliament House will have a seating capacity of 888 MPs in the Lok Sabha and 384 MPs in the Rajya Sabha. The new Parliament House will have three main gates, namely Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar. There will be a separate entry gate for MPs and VIPs in this building. At the same time, other visitors will enter through a separate gate. There will be a library, several committees and dining rooms.

Original copy of constitution will be kept

The biggest feature of the new Parliament House is the Constitution Hall built in it. It is believed that the original copy of the constitution will be kept in this huge hall. Apart from this, large photographs of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose and other Prime Ministers of India will also be installed in the Parliament House. It is being said that the model of Konark’s Sun Temple will also be in the new Parliament House.

The size of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha will increase

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the new Parliament House is equipped with state-of-the-art, technical facilities. The new triangular shaped building adjacent to the existing Parliament House is equipped with security facilities. The new Lok Sabha is three times the size of the existing one and the size of the Rajya Sabha has also been increased. The new building will be decorated with a mix of Indian culture, regional arts, crafts and architecture. The Central Constitutional Gallery has also been given a place in the design plan. 3. Offices have been made for all the MPs in the premises of the Parliament House.

4. The design of the new Parliament House has been done by HCP Design Management of Ahmedabad.

5. This Parliament House is being constructed by Tata Projects.

6. Work has also been done on audio visual system and data network facility in this building.

7. This building has a total seating capacity of 1224 MPs, in which 888 MPs can sit in the Lok Sabha and 384 in the Rajya Sabha.

8. There will be no Central Hall in the new Parliament House, but the MPs of both the Houses can sit together in the Lok Sabha Chamber itself.

9. There will be a Constitution Room in the new Parliament House, in which objects depicting the democratic heritage will be kept. Along with this, the original copy of the constitution will also be kept.

10. The building of the present Parliament House will be converted into a museum.
