Mayank drank it thinking it was water. After this, he started having a burning sensation in his mouth and throat. Mayank was airlifted and admitted to a hospital in Agartala. Mayank wrote, "I feel better now. Gearing up for a comeback. Thank you all for your prayers, love and support." According to PTI report, Mayank has lodged a complaint with the police through his manager to investigate the matter. SP West Tripura Kiran Kumar had told the news agency, "Mayank is an international cricketer. Now his condition is stable. His manager has filed a special complaint under NCCPS (New Capital Complex Police Station) to investigate the matter."
