The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain even today and has expressed the possibility of thunderstorm along with the rain. Due to this, the minimum temperature can be recorded at 15 degrees, while the maximum temperature is also likely to remain at 27 degrees.

The rainy season started in UP on Thursday evening. Clouds rained heavily at many places including Noida, Ghaziabad. Along with this, there was a strong storm. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season may continue in UP for two days. A warning of rain with hailstorm has been issued in many districts including UP’s capital Lucknow today.

Chance of rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the active Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of heavy rains in many parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan today. Along with this, light rain and thundershowers may occur in many areas of Northeast Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura. On the other hand, there are chances of rain in the hilly states of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a forecast of rain in the states of Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Kerala in South India.
