The former MLA had said that Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the OBC community for his statement on Modi’s surname. Earlier, former MLA Ashish Deshmukh had opposed sending Imran Pratapgarhi to Rajya Sabha by the party and resigned from the post of General Secretary of the party in 2022.
