In the Land for job scam, the problems of the Lalu family are not getting any less. In this connection, former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi reached the office of Enforcement Directorate on Thursday. The ED had called him here for questioning in the matter of giving him a job in the Railways in lieu of land. Rabri Devi reached Delhi with her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday itself. The ED has questioned him for five hours in this matter.

At the same time, on May 18 last year, the CBI had registered a case in the case of giving land in exchange for a job. After this, the charge sheet was filed on 18 October. A total of 16 people including Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, daughter Misa Bharti, son Tejashwi Yadav were made accused in the case. The ED has taken out this case from the CBI case itself. ED has also interrogated Misa Bharti and Tejashwi Yadav some time back regarding this. At the time when this scam took place, Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister. It is alleged that Lalu and his family members had given jobs to many people in the railways in lieu of land. These jobs were given in Railway Group D.

Disclosure of income of Rs 600 crore from the scam

The CBI also found in this scam that no advertisement was officially issued by the Railways for these jobs. Those who had given their land were hired. The CBI has also accused Lalu that Lalu Yadav has allegedly encroached 1.5 lakh square feet of land in Patna. The ED had conducted raids in this case sometime back and seized Rs 1 crore in cash and disclosed an income of Rs 600 crore from this scam.
