IPL 2023 team Lucknow Super Giants has suffered a big blow. Team captain and wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the IPL. Star Indian batsman KL Rahul on Friday announced that he has been ruled out of the ongoing IPL 2023 season and will also miss the World Test Championship final against Australia. KL Rahul gave information by posting an emotional post on Instagram.
Rahul had injured his right leg while chasing the ball in the second over of their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After this he had to return from the field. Later KL Rahul came to bat at number 11, but he could not score a single run. The medical team has said that KL Rahul will undergo thigh surgery soon. Because of this, he will be away from the field for the next two months. In such a situation, along with the IPL, KL Rahul will not be able to play the final match of the Test Championship.
Indian cricketer KL Rahul posted a photo on Instagram, in which he is seen being carried off the ground by the support staff of Lucknow Supergiants. In the caption of this post, he wrote, “After talking with the medical team, it has been concluded that I will be undergoing surgery on my thigh soon. My focus will be on my rehabilitation and recovery in the coming weeks. This is a difficult decision, But I know it’s right to be right.
KL Rahul further wrote, as the captain of the team, it pains me not to be with the team at this crucial time. But I am sure the players will give their best. I would be excited for that. I will watch all the matches of the team. He further wrote about the Test Championship final, completely disappointed that I will not be with Team India at The Oval next month. I will join the team and do something for the country. This has always been my focus and priority. Along with this, he also thanked his fans.
