New Delhi. Former Team India all-rounder Suresh Raina welcomed the decision of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to return to the Indian T20 team. Raina said that this decision of the selectors is absolutely right in view of the T20 World Cup.
Raina said, "If you look at the venues of the T20 World Cup, the wickets will be difficult. In such a situation, Team India will need the experience of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Kohli has scored around 12 thousand runs in T20 cricket. So his presence will strengthen Indian batting."
Virat-Rohit can win the World Cup: Raina
Raina believes that the presence of Rohit-Kohli will significantly increase India’s chances of winning the T20 World Cup. He also mentioned the excellent form of both in the ODI World Cup and Rohit’s influence in the dressing room as a leader.
‘Virat-Rohit’s experience and youthful enthusiasm is necessary’
This left-handed batsman said, "I think Kohli should bat at number three. Indian batting will become stronger with his experience. Especially considering the wickets of West Indies and America. The team has aggressive cricketers like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and Shubman. While chasing a big target in a high pressure match, the presence of Rohit-Virat will be beneficial."
Team India’s former middle order batsman Raina expressed happiness over the progress of Rinku Singh. He said that Rinku has taken full advantage of the available opportunities. He has been successful so far as a finisher. The biggest thing is that he plays without fear.
