However, IPL fans were keeping an eye on Gill’s final match performance. Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Shami and spinner Rashid Khan battled it out till the very end for the Purple Cap in IPL 2023. But in the end, Shami captured the Purple Cap.

Shubman Gill made many records in IPL 2023

Gill has now joined Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler in the list of batsmen who have scored more than 800 runs in a single season in IPL history. Shubman Gill has now become the highest individual scorer in an IPL playoff match thanks to his innings of 129 against Mumbai Ind. Earlier this record was recorded in the name of Virender Sehwag. Mohammed Shami beat Rashid to win Purple Cap

The Purple Cap of IPL 2023 has been won by Mohammed Shami by taking 28 wickets in 17 matches. The second number is Rashid Khan of Gujarat Titans. Rashid took a total of 27 wickets. Gujarat Titans bowlers have performed brilliantly in the IPL 2023 season. Gujarat’s Mohit Sharma is at number three among the bowlers who have taken the most wickets.
