India vs Bharat: The dispute regarding the name India vs Bharat is not stopping. Sharp reactions are being given from various political parties. In this context, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again attacked the central government. He said that those who are trying to change the name of the country are basically trying to deny history. He said that we have to decide that those who are doing this should have to pay a heavy price.
took a dig at the center
Speaking at Sciences Po University in Paris, Rahul Gandhi said that it is fine to call the country India or Bharat, but the intention behind the change matters more. He claimed that the name of the opposition alliance India has prompted the central government to insist on ‘Bharat’ as the name of the country. The Indian Constitution uses both names (India and Bharat). Both the words are absolutely correct, but perhaps we have irritated the government with the name of our alliance. He said that the name of our alliance is India. That is why they have decided to change the name of the country.
Repression of minorities in India
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government and the RSS of suppressing minorities in India. He said that BJP and RSS are trying to stop the expression and participation of people from lower and backward castes. I don’t want an India where people are mistreated because they are a minority. He said that it is a matter of shame for India that minorities feel uncomfortable in their own country.
‘There is nothing Hindu in BJP’s ideology’
Rahul Gandhi also criticized the Hindutva ideology of BJP. He said whatever the Modi government does does not match the ideology taught by the Hindu epics. The Congress leader said that I have read Bhagwat Geeta, Upanishads and other Hindu scriptures and I can say that there is nothing Hindu in whatever the BJP does.
