IND vs ENG 3rd Test: The third match of the 5-Test series between India and England will be played from February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Both the teams are currently tied at 1-1 in the series, so both the teams will try to double their lead in the series by winning the third test. Many changes can be seen in the Indian team for the Rajkot Test.
Shreyas Iyer is out of the remaining matches due to injury. Apart from this, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, who were out of the second test due to injury in the first test, have re-entered the team. However, he will be a part of the playing 11 only if he is fit. Apart from all this, KS Bharat, who performed disappointingly in the first two Tests, may have to sit on the bench. Young wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel can replace him.
Bharat failed in batting and keeping
A BCCI source told TOI, "Bharat’s batting has been very poor, while his ‘keeping’ has also not been good. He is not using his opportunities. Jurrell, on the other hand, is talented, has a good attitude and has a bright future. He has performed well for Uttar Pradesh, India A and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Don’t be surprised if Jurel makes his Test debut in Rajkot.” Bharat’s performance in the first 2 Tests of the series has not been anything special. He scored 41, 28 in the first Test played in Hyderabad and 17, 6 in the second Test played in Visakhapatnam.

Bharat’s statistics in test
KS Bharat’s statistics in his Test career are also very disappointing. He has scored 221 runs in 12 innings of 7 Tests played so far at an average of 20.09 and strike rate of 52.99. During this period he has not scored a single half-century. His highest score in this format is 44 runs. Bharat made his Test debut in February 2023 against the Australia cricket team in Nagpur.
Dhruv’s performance in domestic cricket
Dhruv Jurel has not made his international debut yet. He has scored 790 runs at an average of 46.47 in 19 innings of 15 first-class matches played so far. During this period he has scored 5 half-centuries and 1 century. His highest score in this format is 249 runs. Jurrell’s stats are better than Bharat’s. In such a situation, the team management can express confidence in the young wicketkeeper in the next test.
